Renovation of a mixed-use development in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and 15,000-square-foot, two-story above grade library.
Description of Work: The University of California, Santa Barbara ("University") is relocating its music library collection from its Music Building to a permanent location on the first floor of the main University Library (Building 525) and to be named the "Sara Miller McCune Arts Library." The space allocated for the new music library is approximately 15,000 sf and straddles the original 1953 and 1960 2-story portions of the main library, which were renovated in 2016. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to construct a newly renovated space on the first floor of the University Library. Work will consist of selective demolition of existing partitions, ceilings, lighting, and mechanical systems, new doors and wall partitions, ceilings, lighting, mechanical, sprinkler, fire alarm, power outlet distribution, and finishes and fixtures, as described more fully in the Construction Documents. Estimated Construction Cost: $790,000 Construction Documents will be available to Bidders on March 19, 2024 via electronic download from the University's online planroom
