Description: Luzerne County is seeking proposals from qualified companies for River Commons Landscape Maintenance. If indicated in this Solicitation, Responder may be required to submit with its response a Bid Bond or some other form of bid security. Responder's failure to supply the required Bid Bond or bid security when required will be grounds for disqualification of the Responder's submission. When a Bid Bond or other form of bid security is required the amount of said bid bond or bid security shall be fifty percent (50%) of the total cost of the proposal or bid submitted. If indicated in this Solicitation, upon acceptance of its bid/proposal Responder may be required to submit a Performance Bond for any bid/proposal over ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) to Luzerne County Purchasing upon contract award. The amount of said Performance Bond shall be in an amount no less than the total dollar amount of Responder's bid/proposal. PROPOSED CONTRACT TERM: 5/24/24 - 12/31/24. Description of Work: The work area contains multiple planting beds generally consisting of ground cover juniper and ornamental grasses with crabapple and dogwood trees, shrubs and flowers. There is approximately 86,000 sf. of planting bed area and approximately 413,000 sf. of turf maintenance. Refer to Specifications for work details. Location of Work: The Planting Stations and Turf area are located between the south edge of the Courthouse entrance/parking lot to West River Street then West along West River Street to and including the Millennium Mockup on West River and then to the Susquehanna River. This work does not include riprap areas and natural areas. The work is only for managed turf, flowerbeds and shrub beds. The work location is the entire River Common Area. The maintenance access road for the riverside is behind the Luzerne County Courthouse.
