This project will include fire alarm/mass notification upgrades to an existing six story building. The facility was previously used as a hospital and is now being used for business/administration purposes on the western half of the building with the east wing being separated construction and used as a three-story area with a penthouse for sleep studies taking place on the first and second level. The general scope for fire protection can be summarized as: Demolition of existing fire alarm system, and Installation of a new combination fire alarm/mass notification system. In accordance with DFARS 236.204, the magnitude of construction for this project is estimated between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Estimated duration of the project is 400 calendar days. NOTE: The project duration in the actual solicitation could be increased or decreased.
