The Work consists of furnishing and installing a 3 million gallon surge tank (ground storage tank), a total of approximately 230 linear feet of new 48" tank inlet and 54" discharge piping, fittings, valves and appurtenances for the new surge tank, connection to the existing piping; electrical and instrumentation work to connect the new tank level transmitter to existing service and control panels; site civil improvements; and all other work as specified and shown on the Drawings. The project is located at 3686 N. Nolan Road, Fort Cavazos, Texas 76544 between the Bell County WCID No. 1 owned water treatment plant and connectionsto its Customer's Water system referred to asthe Surge Tanks. All work shall be performed on a site within the U.S. Department of the Army Fort Cavazos Reservation land. A cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond, payable to the order oftheBell County WCID No. 1, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the Maximum Amount Bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into the Contract and execute forms contained in the Project Documents within seven (7) days after the Notice of Award. Bondsshall be executed on formsfurnished by the OWNER and shallspecifically provide for "Performance" and "Payment" Bonds and shall be in an amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, from a solvent surety company authorized to do businessin the State of Texas and acceptable to the OWNER. It isrequired that the CONTRACTOR increase the face amount of the Bond to equal each net increase, if any, in the original Contract price.
