The Town of Bedford is seeking proposals for a job order contract to carry out various asphalt overlay and milling projects. It is the intent of this solicitation to obtain proposals for professional services for paving services. Only vendors meeting technical requirements will be accepted. Immediate project is to be completed and invoiced prior to June 24, 2024. This work includes approximately 2,400 tons SP-9.5D and approximately 24,750 square yards milling. Contract payments shall be made on tonnage based on load tickets for each load of SM-9.5D, actual square yards area for areas milled. Future work will be based on our annually revised paving schedule. All projects shall be coordinated with the Town of Bedford Public Works Department so that all preparation work can be completed prior to overlay. The intent of the Town is to enter a term contract with one or more successful vendors using the processes for competitive negotiation of term contracts pursuant to Sections 2.2-4202.2 and 2.2-4303.2 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended (the "Code").
