The work involves improvements to the existing Gretna Arena Facility under the Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) Program. Improvements including upgrades to the roof and wall envelope, accessibility improvements including a new entrance, change rooms and washrooms, and mechanical improvements to increase efficiency. SCOPE .1 Work under this section includes but is not necessarily limited to the categories of the work itemized below for the Arena: .1 Verification of existing loads as indicated in the drawings prior to beginning of construction. .2 Demolition of existing power and control equipment and associated wiring as shown in drawings. .3 Demolition existing heat detectors and all associated wiring as shown in the drawings. .4 New heat detectors and all associated wiring as shown in the drawings. .5 Testing and verification of new fire alarm fire alarm detectors with existing fire alarm panel. .6 Installation of new building lighting, lighting controls, and all associated wiring. .7 Installation of new panelboard and all associated circuit wiring. Provide and install junction box where required to reuse and reconnect existing field wiring to new panel. .8 Grounding. .2 The Electrical Contractor is responsible for the supply, installation and testing of all field installed cabling and connections shown at the arena by: .1 All required wiring for the connection of HVAC controllers provided by Mechanical discipline, including electrical connections for dampers as shown in the electrical and mechanical drawings. .2 Building mechanical schematic drawings. .3 Electrical single line diagrams, panelboard schedules and associated detail drawings, HVAC equipment schematics. 3 The Electrical Contractor is responsible for field cabling and connections to equipment supplied by the Mechanical Contractor, vendor as indicated by Electrical drawings and specifications Technical inquiries by bidders are to be directed to Mario Scerbo at 431-317-3933 or via email at scerbom@ae.ca. A performance bond, in the amount of 50% of Contract Price, covering the performance of this Contract, including any Warranty Work requirements; and A labour and material payment bond, in the amount of 50% of Contract Price.
