Scope of Work: the City is Seeking a Qualified Full-service Engineering Firm to Provide Professional Engineering Services Including, but Not Limited to, Water Quality Analysis, Treatment Process Evaluation, Preliminary Design Report, Design, Specifications, Contract Documents, Permitting, Construction Management, Inspections, Testing, Startup, and Operation Assistance for the Construction of Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project Located at 701 Sw 71st Ave., North Lauderdale, FL 33068. Question Deadline: 04/01/2024 at 5:00 PM ET , Addenda as Responses to Questions Shall Be Issued on Or Before: Thursday, April 4, 2024 by Close of Business (a) A bid guarantee from each bidder equivalent to five percent of the bid price. The "bid guarantee" must consist of a firm commitment such as a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument accompanying a bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of the bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required within the time specified. (b) A performance bond on the part of the Consultant for 100 percent of the contract price. A "performance bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the Consultant's requirements under such contract. (c) A payment bond on the part of the Consultant for 100 percent of the contract price. A "payment bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Minority / Womens / Labor Surplus Firms Participation: Per 2 Cfr 200.321 the City of North Lauderdale, Encourages the Active Participation of Minority Businesses, Womens Business Enterprises, and Labor Surplus Areas Firms as a Part of Any Subsequent Agreement Whenever Possible Either as Prime Contractors or Subcontractors. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The City of North Lauderdale reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any proposal received, to readvertise this RFQ, or to take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
