**As of May 31, 2024, This project has been awarded to Alfson Excavating, with the awarded amount of $2,451,100.35.** The work for which bids are asked includes the following: 1,600 LF of sanitary sewer (8-inch PVC) along with associated sanitary sewer work and laterals; 2,400 L.F. of water main (6-inch thru 10-inch PVC) and associated water work and services; 2,700 LF of storm sewer (6" HDPE, 12" thru 30" RCP, and 24"x38" HERCP) and associated storm structure work; 9,200 S.Y. aggregate base and geogrid installation; 3,500 S.Y. topsoil and seeding; 8,600 S.Y. of asphalt pavement; 4,400 L.F. concrete curb and gutter; 18,500 S.F. of concrete sidewalk; 4,000 S.F. concrete driveway approach; 420 S.F. segmental retaining wall; as well as all related work including unclassified excavation, erosion control, and traffic control. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program AND/OR Clean Water Fund Program funding. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs), and Small Businesses in Rural Areas (SBRAs) to submit bid proposals. A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and primary contractor, in awarding subcontracts, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance.
