The project involves but is not limited to: two applications of asphalt seal coat, and asphalt fog seal for various roads in the township, including maintenance and protection of traffic The Construction Start Date shall be no sooner than Monday, June 24, 2024. The Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete by Friday, August 23, 2024 and will be completed and ready for final payment by Friday, August 30, 2024. There is a liquidated damage amount of $885.00 for each day that expires after the Friday, August 30, 2024 date. Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of ten (10) percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond issued by a surety. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond with an eighteen (18) month warranty within twenty (20) days of the bid award, executed by a surety authorized to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A maintenance bond shall be supplied prior to the completion of the work and release of final payment. This maintenance bond shall be in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract plus Change Orders or Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000), whichever is greater. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, which must be paid to workmen employed on this project, are incorporated in the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised that they must comply with all State anti-kickback regulations pertaining to work associated with this project. Uwchlan Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to refuse any or all Bids submitted; and also reserves the right to waive any informality in Bids received, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder. Except as otherwise provided by law, no Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of opening thereof.
