Renovation of a residential development in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The FRANKLIN COUNTY REGIONAL HOUSING & REDEVAUTHORITY, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Kitchen Renovations at State Aided Development: Highland Village - Shelburne Falls (667-1A) in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by STUDIO UMBRA LLC. The Project consists of but not limited to: Replacement of kitchen finishes, including flooring and gypsum wall board, base and wall cabinets and countertops. Asbestos remediation required. The Contractor must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 276a - a7), the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standard Act (40 U.S.C. 327 - 330) as it relates to minimum wages, Workmen's Compensation and condition of employment as amended, and the Copeland Anti-Kick BackAct U.S.C. 847 which are included in the contract documents. The Contractor must comply with the most current Schedule of Minimum Wage Rates established by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries for the contract work, a recent list of which is included in the contract documents as provided for by Chapter 149 Sections 26 through 27H as amended. The higher of the federal and state wage rates per category shall apply. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. Note to bidders: Division 50 Appendix of the Project Manual contains three forms that must be submitted with your bid. Refer to instructions at the beginning of Division 50 Appendix. This project is funded in part by a grant to the Town of Shelburne from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities under the Community Development Block Grant Program. This project is subject to Title VI of Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and Equal Employment Opportunity. The Franklin County Housing & Redevelopment Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The work is estimated to cost $1,332,620.00. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 03/29/2024 at 5:00PM EDT. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. TRADES Plumbing Heating/Ventilating/Air Conditioning (HVAC) Electrical Work General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the FRANKLIN COUNTY REGIONAL HOUSING & REDEV AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates.
