The contract term for this bid is May 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bond, payable to the City of Brecksville, in the amount of 10% of the total bid (based on price per ton for 441 Asphalt Concrete Surface Course, Type 1 PG64-22 x 10,000 tons), as a guarantee that if said bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Bidders may also use the Bid Guaranty/Contract Bond provided in this specification document which converts to a performance bond upon award to the successful bidder. By submitting a bid, each bidder is insuring that it is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and that its employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. By signing a contract with the Cities, the successful bidder guarantees that it complies with the above provision and all other applicable state and federal laws regarding public contract work including the applicable provisions contained in Section 3517.13 of the Ohio Revised Code. The enclosed Affidavit of Compliance must be completed and submitted with bid. The Councils of each City represented herein reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any portion thereof, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid which it deems to be the lowest and the best bid.
