West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to demo existing and replace shingles on twelve locations in Beckley WV. Work to include replacement of roof deck as necessary, installation of new aluminum drip edge, synthetic underlayment and flashing as required. Cutoff for Questions DATE: April 3, 2024 TIME: 12:00pm (Noon) Commencement shall be May 6, 2024 Completion shall be August 2, 2024 Liquidated Damages : The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Zero ($0.00). Owner Rights: If an Alternate is listed on the Bid Form, the Bidder shall fill in the applicable blank with an increased or decreased bid amount and indicate which by circling the word "ADD" or the word "DEDUCT" as applicable. West Virginia University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid amounts for Alternates, in whole or in part, and in any order.
