Renovation of a fire / police facility in Rochester, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,340-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

Reference Number 0000346847 PROJECT ESTIMATE: $4,158,555.00 - Mechanical Construction the scope of the work consists of interior and exterior priority improvements and alterations to the existing 14,911 sf +/- single-story, masonry bearing wall and steel framed roof fire station. There is a partial basement under the western portion of the building which contains building mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment. The building was originally constructed in 1955. The project renovations consists of five apparatus bays, office, lounge and kitchen space, as well as storage, bunk room and bathroom areas for two fire companies. The building also houses space for Battalion Chief Quarters. The building is historically significant and is eligible for listing as a historic building with the NYS Office of Historic Preservation. The project is located on a 0.65 acre parcel of land and includes minor site improvements. The project is being partially funded by the United States Federal Government through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) Funds. All associated Federal Requirements for the ARPA funding apply to this contract. The work will be awarded under four (4) separate prime contracts including General Construction (Contract A), Plumbing Construction (Contract B), Mechanical Construction (Contract C) and Electrical Construction (Contract D) work. The City will engage the services of a Construction Manager (CM) as their liaison to oversee construction of the project. This contract contains new requirements for NY State Wicks Law.
