As of June 28, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Town of Century will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Miscellaneous Wastewater System Improvements (Phase II) - Lift Station Rehabilitation. The project consists of: The rehabilitation of nine existing lift stations and the construction of two new replacement lift stations to include new electrical, pumps, plumbing, and wetwell rehabilitation. A mechanical bar screen and generator will be installed at the Prison Lift Station (LS #1). The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any bid informalities, and to re-advertise for bids when deemed in their best interest. Work under this Section applies to all submersible sewage lift stations within the wastewater collection system project. Liftstations shall include wet well, plumbing and piping, valve box, pumps, control panel, electrical service, control system, guide rails and all appurtenances or other items required to provide a fully operational system. The Contractor shall furnish, install, test and place into operation, the sewage pumping stations shown on the approved drawings and specified hereinafter. All references to Industry Standards (ASTM, ANSI, etc.) shall be to the latest revision unless otherwise stated. All materials shall be new unless specifically called for otherwise. B. The installation shall comply with all local, state, and federal laws and ordinances applicable to electrical installation and with the regulations of the latest edition of the published National Electrical Code where such regulations do not conflict with those laws and ordinances. The contractor shall obtain all permits, and after completion of the work, shall furnish the Engineer a certificate of final inspection and approval from the applicable local inspection departments. C. Permits - The Contractor shall secure and pay for all plumbing, electrical, right-ofway and other required permits and make application for electric and water meter. The Contractorshall be responsible for all costs associated with utilities used during construction and testing of the lift station unless otherwise noted herein.
