The mechanical contractor will contract with an independent testing, adjusting and balancing (TAB) agency to test, adjust and balance the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems. The Work included in this section consists of furnishing labor, instruments and tools required in testing, adjusting and balancing the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems, as described in these Specifications or shown on accompanying Drawings. Services shall include checking equipment performance, taking the specified measurements and recording and reporting the results. The items requiring testing, adjusting and balancing include but are not limited to the following: .1 The existing air handling unit AHU-2 located in the mechanical room of the 2-nd floor; and 2 Associated controls. Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows: Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid price. A Performance Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of a Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%); of the Contract Price A Labour and Materials Payment Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price. Perform Work during the period from Tuesday, July 2, 2024 to Friday, August 30, 2024; Substantial Performance of the Work (approximately 97.5% complete) to be completed not later than Friday, August 9, 2024.
