All Bids in excess of $50,000.00 must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bank certified check, cash, or a Bid Bond underwritten by a surety company licensed to issue Bid Bonds in the State of Kansas. The bid security shall be in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The Bid Bond shall be in substantially the Bid Bond form provided in these Bidding Documents. If the contract is in excess of $50,000, submit a performance bond in the amount of 100%of the contract price. If the contract is in excess of $50,000, submit a payment bond to the State of Kansas in the amount of 100% of the price specified in the contract for the protection of all persons supplying labor, materials, equipment and supplies to the contractor or its subcontractor. Said bond shall comply with the requirements of K.S.A. 60-1111, as amended, and shall be filed with the Clerk of the District Court of Wyandotte County, Kansas.
