Baltimore Ave@ 1:00 PM The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is seeking proposals from interested proposers for the replacement of existing fire alarm systems at Water Engineering, ESDC, and Muncie buildings. The existing fire alarm system equipment includes smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, carbon monoxide, and keypads. Notification appliances include strobes & horn strobes. ESDC and Muncie equipment are wired to ADT alarm panels while Water Engineering equipment is wired to a Safeguard panel in the security room. ESDC also has a Fike fire suppression system wired to a Fike system panel; the Fike system is to remain but to be integrated into the new fire monitoring system. All existing smoke, heat, fire pulls, horn strobes, system wiring and panel equipment is to be replaced. The specification documents and drawings attached identify existing devices and locations of existing equipment. Proposer shall provide new equipment, installation and startup services based upon current fire code requirements The Purchaser shall withhold 5% retainage from each pay application.
