Project Scope: The project consists of two (2) roadway sections: HOSPITAL ROAD Widening, Patching and Overlay Project from Richland City Limits to Sundown Road (0.92 Miles) and from Sundown Road to Webster County Line (2.86 Miles), Totaling 3.78 SUNDOWN ROAD Patching and Overlay Project from Hospital Road to Webster/Stewart County Line (0.54 Miles) and from the County Line to Center point Road (0.27 Miles), Totaling 0.81 Miles. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. The Bid Bond may be in the form of a surety issued bond or cashier's check made payable to Stewart County. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Stewart County as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. Surety and insurance companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater, be listed in the Federal Registry of Companies holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the OWNER. Each sealed envelope, containing a bid, must be plainly marked on the outside "Hospital Road Resurfacing and Maintenance, Stewart County (Richland, GA)". \ If the bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the OWNER at the address given above. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time and date set for closing, except as allowed by O.C.G.A. Stewart County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities.
