Renovation of a municipal facility in Washington, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,000-square-foot municipal facility.

The Scope of Work includes an appoximately 5,000 SF roof structure over the existing main stage at the Washington Fairgrounds and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft on a responsible solvent Missouri bank, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable Surety company, naming the Owner as Obligee, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Base bid plus the greatest of the Alternate bids ("Bid Security"). If the bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in his bid, or fails to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds as required by the Contract Documents, the amount of the Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the faithful performance of the Contract, and also a Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the project under this Contract and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. Contractor shall pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of $500.00 per day after May 1, 2025 that the work on the Washington Fair Main Stage Roof has not been substantially completed. The total amount so payable to the Owner as liquidated damages may be deducted from any sums due or to become due to Contractor from Owner. The City of Washington anticipates issuing notice to proceed in May 2024 with construction scheduled to begin September 23, 2024 or after. Pending Notice to Proceed date of May 2024 and construction start date of September 23, 2024, the work to be performed under this contract must be substantially completed by May 1, 2025. Final Completion to be completed by June 1, 2025. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all bids, to reject a bid not accompanied by the Bid Security or by other data required by the Bidding Documents, to reject a bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, and to rebid the Work at a later date, if all bids are rejected.
