The project site is within an undeveloped parcel located west of Blossom Avenue, south of Chyrl Way and along the Laurel Creek. The general scope is the construction of a park that includes a community garden. The project improvements include, but are not limited to, the following: angled asphalt parking spaces, ADA-compliant curb ramp, hard surface walk paths, fencing and gates, privacy screens, play structures, recreation equipment, picnic tables, benches, shade structures, landscaping and irrigation, fountain and pool, shed, planters, and pergola, as well as four (4) additive alternate bid items. For bonding purposes, the Engineers Estimate is $1,500,000. The deadline to submit questions is 12 noon on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, unless subsequently modified by the City by addendum Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of Bidding documents to the City in writing via e-mail to Marvin Mora, Project Manager, at mmora@suisun.com and to Nick Lozano, Sr. Associate Engineer, at nlozano@suisun.com. The successful bidder shall furnish a bid bond, a payment bond and a performance bond, Materials & Labor Bond, and a one -year warranty bond when work is completed. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall possess a valid Suisun City business license prior to start of work. The City of Suisun City reserves the right to postpone the date and time for the opening of proposals at any time prior to the date and time announced in the advertisement. Description: Shall be 3/8-inch maximum gradation, produced from naturally friable rock/granite with enough fines to produce a smooth walking surface. Materials should be free from clay lumps, organic matter and deleterious material. Blends of coarse sand and rock duct are not acceptable. Color to be natural sand/golden.
