Renovation of a mixed-use development in Suisun City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and religious / funeral development.

Joe Nelson Community Center and Harbor Theater Exterior Wall Painting Project Joe Nelson Community Center, 611 Village Drive (Base Bid) Paint exterior walls including upper roof portico, paint stucco surfaces, coping, metal light poles & shade trim attached to the building, one trash enclosure & metal doors, metal service doors, metal wrought iron fences at Banquet Room Patio, stucco cornice, pillars, damaged foam delta at top of pillars, stucco texture repairs, Preschool Patio wrought iron fence, Preschool patio cover, and Preschool Patio stucco walls. Areas to be excluded: Copper tiles, lower stone tile, mullions, metal roofs. Detached buildings, decking, wood, fencing and anything not outlined above. For bonding purposes, the Engineers Estimate is $200,000. Bidders must direct all questions about the meaning or intent of the bid documents to the City in writing via e-mail to Gemma Geluz at ggeluz@suisun.com. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the City in response to such questions will be posted on the Suisun City website. The deadline to submit questions is 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 16 , 2024, unless subsequently modified by the City by addendum. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to ensure it has received all addenda issued prior to submitting a bid. In accordance with the State of California Administrative Code Title 8, Group 3, Article 2, Section 16109, Publication of Prevailing rates by Awarding Bodies, copies of the applicable determinations of the Director are on file at the Public Works Department of the City of Suisun City and may be reviewed upon request. If there is a difference between the minimum wage rates predetermined by the Secretary of Labor and the prevailing wage rates determined by the Department of Industrial Relations for similar classifications of labor, the Contractor and his subcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rate Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages in the county in which the work is to be done has been determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. These wage rates appear in the Department of Transportation publication entitled General Prevailing Wage Rates. Future effective wage rates, which have been predetermined and are on file with the Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in said publication. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class A State of California contractor's license at the time the contract is awarded. (Note: A Class B contractor license is acceptable as long as 2 others are included, at least 1 possessing a Class A or C-8 License.) The City of Suisun City reserves the right to postpone the date and time for the opening of proposals at any time prior to the date and time announced in the advertisement. All proposals shall be valid for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The City of Suisun City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any defects or informality in the bidding. Additive Alternate 1: Paint the exterior of the Harbor Theater building along its east, west and north exterior wall elevations along with any minor repairs to complete this project. Additive Alternate 2: Paint marquee on the west side of the building. The center piece and all the trim will be painted. The neon will need to be protected. All the light bulbs at the trim will need to be detached and reset. Access will primarily be along the sidewalks and streets surrounding the buildings. The City will provide an approximate 3-foot wide horizontal clearance between the buildings and adjacent shrubs. The Contractor shall provide a Pedestrian and Traffic Control Plan for each building for the blocking of any City Right-of-Way. For bonding purposes, the Engineers Estimate is $200,000.
