Improve the Concrete Curb, Drive Approaches, ADA Ramps and Sidewalk on E. Main St. From Detroit St. To Whitemen Stl and S. Detroit St. From Main St. to Second St. Pursuant to ORC Section 153.54, no bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond for the full amount of the bid -OR- a cashier's check or certified check, issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the City of Xenia, or a letter of credit issued in accordance with ORC Chapter 1305., in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the bid. The bid guaranty or bid bond shall be enclosed with the sealed bid. The attention of Bidders is directed to the federal regulations applicable to this Project, particularly to the equal employment opportunity and affirmative action program provisions, the Davis Bacon Wage Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and other federal standards. Bids are to be submitted on the following proposal: improvements to the concrete curb, drive approaches, ADA ramps and sidewalks on the south side of E. Main St., from Detroit St. to Whitemen St. (base bid), and along S. Detroit St., from Main St. to Second St. (alternate bids), as directed by the City Engineer and in accordance with the General Conditions, Specifications, Required Contract Provisions, Plans and/or Drawings included in the bid packets. Bids are to be submitted on a per unit basis and are to be for complete work (including all equipment, labor, and materials). The estimated cost for Project will not exceed $139,850.00. The City of Xenia reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any discrepancies or irregularities in the Bids.
