Renovation of an educational facility in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Whitehall-Coplay School District is soliciting sealed bids for the Middle School, Exterior Masonry and Structural Repairs Project ("Project") in the form of a SINGLE prime lump sum contract. The Project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, 43 P.S. 165-1 et seq., and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to each Project as promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry. The Bidder shall perform not less than ten percent (10%) of the actual construction Work with staff employed directly by the Bidder. Project management shall NOT be included in this percentage. An Agreement of Surety certifying that the Surety Company is committed to provide the Bidder with a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Surety Company must have an AM Best rating of A- or higher and a financial rating of Class X or higher.
