Site work and paving for a road / highway in Grass Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work to be done, in general, consists of removal of existing striping, sweeping roads, patching of recessed marker depressions, application of Type II Micro-surfacing on several roads, installation of chip-seal, restriping, and installation of new recessed markers. The work will be completed in one phase. Cascade Shores will consist of installation of county provided project signs, placement of CMS boards for public notification, removal of existing striping within the project area, patching of recessed marker depressions with HMA, sweeping of roads in preparation for micro-surfacing, micro-surfacing, new recessed marker installation, and striping. Mountain Lake Estates will consist of placement of CMS boards for public notification, sweeping of roads in preparation for micro-surfacing, and micro-surfacing on all existing paved roads. This area will also include the placement of double chip seal on the existing compacted base road at a width of 20 feet. Double chip seal is the application of an asphalt emulsion followed by aggregate, applied twice in sequence and then a flush coat. Long Valley Road will consist of placement of CMS boards for public notification, sweeping of road in preparation for double chip seal, and installation of double chip seal on the existing roadway. Contractor shall supply all CMS boards. The Engineer's Estimate for this contract is $1,355,000
