**As of June 7, 2024, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $80,646.69** Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. The work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition and tree removal; earthwork activities for regrading with stone and soil backfills; installation of concrete barrier, erosion control mat, seed, and mulch; pavement and site restoration; and temporary erosion control measures. Award is planned for May 15, 2024 with Construction Notice to Proceed planned for Summer 2024 pending contract execution. The last day for receipt of written questions is noon of Monday, April 8, 2024. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or to waive any informality or irregularity as deemed to the best interest of the Township. The work included under this contract consists of: sawcutting the pavement; selective demolition; installation of barriers; regrading and stabilization of the slope; and site restoration. In addition to the work shown on the Contract Drawings, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. The video taping of the existing conditions within the work zone by a qualified professional prior to the start of construction. B. Attend preconstruction with Lower Merion Township Director of Public Works, Engineer, and other representatives that may be invited. C. The notification of the Lower Merion Township Director of Public Works and Engineer at least seven days prior to the start of construction and one day prior to completion. D. The acquisition and submission of all necessary materials’ data and shop drawings to the Engineer for review and acceptance. E. The notification of all utilities having facilities within the work zone in accordance with the requirements of Pennsylvania Act 287 of 1974, as amended by Act 121 (2008), entitled “Underground Utility Line Protection Law” via the Pennsylvania One Call System, Inc. (1- 800-242-1776) a minimum of three (3) working days before the start of excavation. F. The maintenance of safe and convenient access in the parking lot to and from the work zone. G. The installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sedimentation control measures. H. The setting of lines and grades necessary to construct the required improvements. I. The verification of location of utilities and other site features to avoid conflict. J. The clean-up, removal, and disposal of all demolition and construction debris, and excess material off-site, and the keeping of a clean and neat work site during construction.
