Renovation of a civil project in Sunrise, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Springtree WTP uses sodium hypochlorite for treated water disinfection. There are four tanks within a structure consisting of foundation walls, concrete pads and concrete housekeeping pads along with a structural steel canopy roof. There has been foundation deterioration observed by staff which was recently evaluated by a structural engineer. A foundation assessment repair including recommendations was provided by the engineer including methods and details to rehabilitate these defects. The repairs will include the cracks in the concrete of the foundation structure, repair of the canopy columns, replacement of tank pads and application of new coatings. The project is include in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
