Site work for a water / sewer project in Sunrise, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Springtree water plant has raw water supply lines that were originally constructed in the 1970s, has cast iron material, and has failed two times over the last 12 months. These raw water mains have endured the load of heavy construction machinery due to ongoing construction and fragile nature of original construction material. Many of these mains are original where they were repurposed from finished water mains to raw water mains. This project consists of replacing major raw water supply piping within the plant site. The project is include in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
