Site work for a water / sewer project in Sunrise, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Sawgrass WWTP has buried plant piping that has deteriorated in condition. Recently in fall of 2021, the aeration tank influent pipe and the RAS pipe were both excavated due to a major break from a deteriorated valve. This incident rendered half of the wastewater plant out of service. Upon excavation, the external condition of RAS and aeration tank line appeared to be in poor condition and is in immediate need for replacement. This project will encompass detail design, permitting, bidding and construction. This project is recommended in the 2019 Water and Wastewater Master Plan. The project is include in the city's 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
