Site work for a mixed-use development in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and playground / park / athletic field.
The Contractor will be required to ensure the safety of the public during the construction and provide the following: a) Road Improvements (approx. 1,200m for single lane vehicle with trailer use): a. Remove and haul organics (disposed of onsite). b. Supply and install geo tech fabric under all roads. c. Supply and install road material, grade and compact. b) Campsite Pad Construction x 20 (each site approx. 140m2): a. Remove and haul organics (disposed of onsite). b. Supply and install geo tech fabric under all campsites. c. Supply and install pad material, grade and compact. d. Install one fire ring (as provided by the RDEK) at each campsite. c) Water Lines with Spigots (approx. 300m) a. Supply and install 2 water lines with communal spigots (tying in to existing infrastructure). Note lines to be shallow as they will be purged/winterized annually in the fall. d) Provide safety awareness deemed reasonable to inform and protect park users from construction activities. e) Complete all scope of work contractor responsibilities by April 30, 2025. Note ground disturbance activities will require archaeological monitoring as provided by the RDEK.
