Renovation of a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of the following major items for the renovation of the existing space: Demolition / Removal of interior partition furring, exterior wall segments as required for new openings, hollow metal door and frame, and concrete sidewalk segments where shown on demolition plans. GC to salvage and relocate fire extinguishers, metal storage racks, and wall-mounted equipment where shown on demolition plans. GC to remove and salvage pendant light fixtures and camera where shown on the demolition reflected ceiling plan. Installation of new aluminum storefront glazing, hollow metal door and frame, aluminum-framed fabric awning, sidewalk portion, interior partition furring, floor and wall coatings, resilient base, lighting fixtures, acoustic batt insulation, ceiling grid and acoustic ceiling panels, and associated mechanical and electrical work as shown on new work plans. Bidding Documents include this Invitation to Bid, and the following attached forms: Form of Proposal, sample contract, Sales Tax Report, School Access Requirements, MBE forms, and Board of Education Policies. The bidding documents also include the plans and specifications, and any Addenda issued prior to receipt of bids. All requirements and obligations of the Bidding Documents are hereby incorporated by reference into the Contract Documents and are binding on the Successful Bidder upon award of the contract. Each Bidder by submitting his Bid represents that he has read and understands that Bidding Documents and his Bid are made in accordance therewith, and Bidder agrees to be bound by the terms and requirements set forth in the Bidding and Contract Documents; that he has visited the site, has familiarized himself with the local conditions under which the Work is to be performed herein, and has correlated his observations with the requirements of the proposed Contract Documents. The Wake County Public School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the School System. Also, the Wake County Public School System reserves the right to require any bidder to submit information needed to determine if said bidder is responsible within the meaning of N.C. Gen.
