The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a term contract(s) with a bidder to provide annual services on as as-needed basis for city wide crosswalk recoating for the City of Fairfax, VA. The resulting contract will establish a ready, "as required" source for the items listed in this solicitation. The contractor tasks include: o General Requirements . The Bidder shall be in business for a minimum of five (5) years providing similar services. Contractor shall provide, but not limited to the following tasks: Traffic control. Stamped thermoplastic asphalt. Stamped and inlaid thermoplastic. Decorative thermoplastic. Recoating stamped asphalt. Thermoplastic overlay. New stamped and color coated asphalt. Use sealant in areas that show cracks before painting. Remove existing 8" thermoplastic and install new border lines. Painting - Color shall match existing color. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: The period of this contract shall be for an initial one (1) year period from the date of award. This contract may be renewed at the expiration of its term by agreement of both parties for three (3) additional one-year period. The value of the resultant contract (all terms) shall not exceed $200,000. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the City to be in its best interest.
