Project consists generally of a design-build construction of a 9,936 square foot (108' x 92') single floor pre-engineered steel building for police vehicle storage and maintenance. General Design-Bid Construction work includes foundation design and permitting, building shell design and permitting, mechanical electrical plumbing (MEP) design and permitting, foundation construction, building construction, and coordination with separate trades (MEPs) and owner. Due to separation of trade requirements, the MEP work is to be competitively quoted or bid during the project by the Township. Site work to be bid separately by the Township after building construction The project schedule will have the following deadlines from Notice to Proceed: Owner meeting within 30 days to review building design, owner meeting within 60 days to review MEP design drawings and technical specifications, within 90 days to have Township authorize MEP documents for bid, project to be substantially complete within 180 days, and final completion within 210 days. Each bid shall be made on the form provided in the contract documents and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in a sum equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount made payable to Adams Township furnished by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Attention is called to the fact that Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages and the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act apply to this project. Adams Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award a contract in the best interest of Adams Township. Adams Township Board of Supervisors
