Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mars, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work generally includes the reconfiguration of an existing parking lot for bus circulation. The improvements include a new curb island to separate bus traffic from parking areas, new driveway access, a new sidewalk to restore pedestrian routes, a new parking lot and stormwater improvements. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Additional bidding requirements are found in Section 00 21 13, "Instructions to Bidders", of the Bidding Documents. All bidders must submit bid security of a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). Contract Times: Dates A. The Work shall commence no earlier than June 5, 2024. B. The Work will be substantially complete on or before August 19, 2024, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before September 19, 2024 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
