Questions Due Date: 01/23/2025 at 12:00 AM ET Project No: 2024-10-03 Pump Station General Construction - $720,000 Electrical Construction - $125,000 Force Main Construction - $1.2 Million Questions regarding this bid shall be submitted via the "Messages" feature within online Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors, Butler County, 2525 Rochester Road, Suite 400, Cranberry Township, PA 16066-6499, will accept sealed bids for the following contracts: Cranberry Township Municipal Sewer Project Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the replacement of the Franklin Acres Pump Station and Force Main, as more clearly specified in the Contract Documents. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of One-Thousand Dollars ($1,000) payable to Cranberry Township. All bids shall remain irrevocable for 90 days after the actual date of the opening. The estimated cost of this Project is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and will be funded partially using EPA Grant monies and therefore Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage and Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act requirements shall apply. Contractors will be required to demonstrate compliance with Federal requirements associated with this EPA Funding. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Township. Extent of Contract: 1. Unless otherwise indicated, the work described in this Section for each contract shall be complete systems and assemblies, including products, components, accessories, and installation required by the Contract Documents. 2. Trenches and other excavation for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 3. Each contract includes blocking, backing panels, sleeves, and metal fabrication supports for its own work. 4. Furnishing of access panels for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. Installation of access panels shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 5. Equipment pads for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 6. Roof-mounted equipment curbs for the work of each contract shall be the work of each contract for its own work. 7. Painting for the work of each contract shall be the work of the General Contractor. 8. Cutting and Patching: Cutting provided under each contract for its own work. Patching for the Work of each Contract shall be the work of the General Contractor. B. Work in the General Pump Station Construction Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Remaining work not identified as work under other contracts. 2. Development and maintenance of the construction schedule. 3. Site preparation, including clearing, building and tank demolition and relocations, and earthwork. 4. Site improvements, including roadways, parking lots, pedestrian paving, site development furnishings and equipment, and landscaping. 5. Selective demolition. 6. Foundations, including footings, and foundation walls. 7. Slabs-on-grade, including earthwork, subdrainage systems, and insulation. 8. Emergency generator concrete pad. 9. Below-grade building construction, including excavation, backfill, and thermal and moisture protection. 10. Superstructure, including floor and roof construction. 11. Exterior closure, including walls, parapets, doors, windows, and louvers. 12. Roofing, including coverings, flashings and roof specialties; responsible for roofing portion of the work after the curbs are installed by other Contractors. 13. Interior construction, including partitions, doors, interior glazed openings, and fittings. 14. Fire-protection specialties. 15. and finishes. 16. Interior finishes. 17. Miscellaneous items, including patching, concrete equipment bases and painting of other Contractor's work. 18. Process and Control Equipment. 19. Coordination with the Township's integrator for SCADA system, 20. Installation of control panels for equipment purchased under this this Contract. 21. Furnishings. 22. Site water and utility supply and distribution. 23. Site plumbing and drains. 24. Site storm drainage. 25. Stormwater management. 26. HVAC systems and equipment. 27. HVAC instrumentation and controls with the exception of ventilation system control and wiring. 28. HVAC testing, adjusting, and balancing. 29. Pump station, wet well, valve vault, piping, valves, meter. 30. Gravity sewer and manhole 31. Fencing 32. Force main installation from pump station up to but not including the transition from 8-inch DI to 8-inch HDPE DR-11. C. Work in the General Force Main Construction Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Installation and testing of force main, including but not limited to, transition from 8-inch DI to 8-inch HDPE DR-11, fittings, air release valves, casing pipe, coordination with PennDOT, connection into existing manhole, etc. 2. Maintenance of traffic 3. Site improvements, including roadways, parking lots, pedestrian paving, site development furnishings and equipment, and landscaping impacted by force main work D. Work in the Electrical Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Installation of a new electrical service to the facility including coordination with electrical utility company for the installation of the new service equipment and the phasing of the removal of the existing service for the purposes of keeping the existing facility operational during the changeover. 2. Coordination with the Township's integrator for SCADA system. 3. Site lighting. 4. Site communications including coordination with service provider. 5. Site electrical power and distribution including coordination with service provider. 6. Electric Power Service: Include the cost for electric power service, whether metered or otherwise , for electricity used by all entities engaged in construction activities at Project Site. 7. Selective electrical demolition. 8. Exterior and interior lighting. 9. Special electrical systems, including the following: a. Lightning protection systems. 10. Emergency generator. 11. Electrical connections to equipment furnished by the General Contractor. 12. Ventilation System Controls, sensors, and wiring 13. Installation of fiber optic cabling 14. conduit/duct banks and ATS 15. Building automation system. 16. Mechanical connections to equipment furnished by the other contractors. 17. Installation of control panels for equipment purchased under this contract.
