Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Wilson County Schools and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for the furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Elm City, NC. Please note: Only subcontractors who have been prequalified by Barnhill Contracting Company will be able to submit a Bid. This project, located at 5544 Lake Wilson Rd, Elm City, NC 27822, consists of the new construction of an 73,840 SF elementary school (66,671 SF school with a 7,169 SF mezzanine). The existing building will be demolished prior to the start of construction. The structure will consist of concrete and structural steel. The veneer includes masonry, metal panel, and storefront glazing. The roof will be a standing seam metal roof. Finishes include drywall, casework, library casework, athletic flooring, wood flooring, resilient flooring, paint, etc. Site improvements include concrete paving, asphalt paving, fencing, landscaping, and athletic equipment.
