This Phase 1 project is located within the City of Everett at the Reservoir 3 site at 6107 Berkshire Dr, Everett, WA 98203. The site also contains three pump stations and the existing 20-MG covered reservoir. The Phase 1 project also includes two pipe connections east of Reservoir 2 at the intersection of Tulalip and Charles Avenue and the intersection of Federal and Edward Avenue. The Phase 1 work being performed includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct one 8 million gallon prestressed and partially buried concrete tank, shoring system, dewatering, electrical and instrumentation and control systems, and associated piping and other such appurtenances, including trench and tank excavation, haul, stockpiling and disposal, preparation of a project Health and Safety Plan with related submittals, and performing all Work as required by the Contract, There are also two off-site pipe connections to be built. The Contractor must comply with strict time limitations for construction, which are discussed in the Contract Documents. All bids must, be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. One hundred percent (100%) Payment and Performance Bonds will be required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the Contract. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. This project is subject to a 15% apprenticeship requirement, defined as 15% of the total labor hours on the project must be performed by apprentices in accordance with Section 00 73 73 of the specifications. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof. The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.
