GRADE AND RESURFACE FOLEY HILL ROAD This bid is to grade and resurface Foley Hill Road in the Town of New Marlborough. Construction will begin at the Canaan Southfield Road intersection and will end at house #408. The surface is approximately 5,400 feet in length by approximately 20 feet in width. The Foley Hill Road project will consist of Contractor preparing surface, finish grading for paving 12,000 square yards, applying approximately 1,700 tons of MassDOT approved binder at 2.5 inches with 3,000 feet of monolithic berm as needed, and preparing and handworking driveway apron waterways for proper drainage using approximately 50 tons of HMA per Highway Superintendent's specifications. Saw cutting or milling will be necessary at end joints and intersections for smooth transition as needed. Two, ten ton rollers will be required for the job, along with a sufficient number of trucks for transporting the material to the site. FULL DEPTH RECLAMATION AND RESURFACE BREWER HILL ROAD This bid is for a full depth reclamation and resurface of Brewer Hill Road in the Town of New Marlborough. Construction will begin at the Hayes Hill Road intersection and will finish at the Sheffield town line. The surface is approximately 6,800 feet in length by approximately 21 feet in width. The Brewer Hill Road project will consist of Contractor reclaiming 8,633 square yards and finish grading for paving 7,233 square yards, applying approximately 1,975 tons of MassDOT approved binder at 2.5 inches with 1,000 feet of monolithic berm as needed, and preparing and handworking driveway apron waterways for proper drainage using approximately 60 tons of HMA per Highway Superintendent's specifications.
