The City of Marlborough ("City"), the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from contractors for the Reflectorized Pavement Markings at various locations in Marlborough, Massachusetts, for the Department of Public Works-Operations Division in accordance with the documents prepared by the City of Marlborough. The project consists of furnishing and installing reflectorized pavement markings at various locations throughout the City, including all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete the Work. The contract term shall be one (1) year beginning on or after July 1, 2024 with two options to renew for one (1) year each exercisable in the City's sole discretion. The estimated project cost is approximately $175,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L., c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Each sealed electronic bid shall be submitted on the prescribed forms. Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates. The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be: a) with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to Owner; b) conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the Bid; and c) submitted with your E-Bid online. In lieu of and only in LIEU of an insurance Bid Bond certificate submitted as outlined above (items a. through c.), a Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted with a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the Owner before the time of bidding. In addition, the Bidder must also submit a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form with their E-Bid. Obtain the Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form.
