The City of Shaker Heights desires to make improvements to our Service Center laydown area. Our intention is to complete the design in 2024 and start construction in 2025.
The general scope of work is the following:
o Existing site survey and production of a base map to be used during the design process.
o Geotechnical soil samples to be used in the stabilization mix design process.
o A plan Title Sheet will be provided identifying the project location, an index of plan sheets, project description, City signature and Engineer's stamp.
o A schematic plan sheet will be provided showing the overall limits of the proposed work as well as the identification of the work to be performed.
o Site grading plan showing existing and proposed site elevations. Proposed drainage improvements will be shown on the grading plan.
o Existing and proposed typical sections will be provided.
o A site plan will be provided showing the limits of proposed stabilization, proposed concrete pavement locations, drainage structure improvements. The work will need to be phased to minimize disruptions to Public Works operations.
o General notes will be provided including detailed specifications for proposed items of works as well as any "As Per Plan" notes that may be required as items of work may deviate from ODOT's standard CMS items.
o Sub-summary and General Summary sheets will be provided with quantities of work summarized per the year they are intended to be performed.
o Miscellaneous detail sheets will be provided as needed to address proposed site elements that may not be covered by existing Standard Construction Drawings.
