Remodeling and renovation of an educational facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the expansion of a primary / secondary education facility.
The intent is to provide renovations of the existng Wiley Elementary School campus for use as a temporary home for Erwin Montessori School and, subsequently for use as swing space in support of the 2020 and 2022 Bond Programs. The contractor selected will be responsible for the coordination of all scopes of work outlined here, including coordinating with the Owner's FF&E providers in order to meet this tight schedule A bid deposit/bond is NOT required. Performance and payment bonds WILL BE required. Full GCS MWBE good faith check list, Affidavit A or B submitted with bid. **Timeline: The goal is to have the renovations completed and ready for occupancy by staff and students prior to the start of the 2024/2025 School year. Teachers return Monday August 19th, Students return Monday August 26, 2024. To that end, the successful contractor is expected to take possession of the facility on or about June 12, 2024 with Substantial Completion on or before July 29th, 2024. "Substantial Completion" in this case shall mean all renovations are completed, and any inspections finalized (Cert of Occupancy), all life safety systems are operational, final punch list is established, and Owner provided FF&E is in place and ready for use. The contractor will then have 30 days to complete the punch list and achieve "Final Completion". It is anticipated that bids will be received on or before April 25, 2024, in order to obtain BOE approval on May 7, 2024.
