This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation by the District of Summerland (the "District") to prospective Proponents to submit non-binding Proposals for the provision of janitorial services at municipally-owned buildings, as well as park opening and closing services, as further described in the RFP. The Contractor will perform janitorial services for District-owned buildings and public washrooms, including: Municipal Hall Works & Infrastructure Building Electrical Utility Warehouse Water Treatment Plant Wastewater Treatment Plant RCMP Building Museum Arts & Cultural Centre Landfill Office Parks Washrooms & Gates Memorial Park Peach Orchard Park Powell Beach Park Dale Meadows Park Rotary Beach Park Living Memorial Park Giant's Head Mountain Park Ad Hoc Services as required, including but not limited to cleaning the Summerland Rodeo Grounds and Centre Stage Theatre after rentals and special events. The successful Proponent should be prepared to commence work on June 1, 2024; July 1, 2024; or August 1, 2024. The Agreement shall be valid for an initial term of three (3) years with the opportunity to renew for one (1) additional period of three (3) years, in the District's sole discretion.
