Site work for a water / sewer project in Hubbard, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the replacement of approximately 600 linear feet of 8" sanitary sewer on Hall Avenue between Scott and Clingan Street. Incidental improvements to the sanitary sewer construction along Hall Avenue include driveway and curb repair and restoration. The project also includes miscellaneous improvements to three existing sanitary sewer lift stations in the City. The existing natural gas generator and automatic transfer switch will be replaced at the Timber Point and North Main lift stations. Existing underground pump controls will be duplicated above ground at the Timber Point and Wastewater Treatment Plant influent pump station. Finally, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant influent pump station, the existing bubbler level control will be replaced with a new secondary level float control and new primary pressure transducer. All Bidders are required to bid the full project. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each bidder must be a registered plan holder with ms consultants, inc. to be eligible to submit a bid for this project. All requests for interpretations of the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents must be received at least six days prior to the bid opening for consideration. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. Bids for the above-described work must be submitted on blanks furnished in the Bid Submittal Document. Said bids must be submitted as one original and one copy. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty, made payable to the City of Hubbard, Ohio, in the form of either: (1) A Bid Guaranty / Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid, or (2) A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount pursuant to Chapter 153 of the ORC. Each induvial employed by the Contractor and any Sub-Contractor engaged in work on the project under this contract shall be paid the prevailing wage as directed in the bid documents. This shall occur regardless of any contractual relationship that may be said to exist between the Contractor or any Subcontractor and such indidual. All contractors and sub-contractors involved with the Project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of the Project. Additionally, the contractor's compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972 and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bid submitted must include a current copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Certificate of Compliance as evidence that the bidder is certified by the State of Ohio. The Non-Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidders must be completed and submitted with all bids. Domestic Steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code apply to this project. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
