Renovation of an educational facility in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of work: includes all necessary permits, labor, materials, and equipment required to complete the Instrument Air System scope. The work involves the installation, modification, removal, and reinstallation of the Instrument Air System at the specified project location. The work shall be done on off hours shifts. The instrument air system work will be carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations as described in the drawings and specifications. The contractor will also provide accurate as-built drawings and Maintenance and operation Manuals upon completion of the work. The as-built drawings should reflect the final installed Instrument Air System and any modifications made during the project. Maintenance and Operation manuals at substantial completion for all new equipment, including operating and maintenance data, submittals, warranties, diagrams, inspection reports, and valve lists. Submit the maintenance manuals in a 3-ring binder or on a DVD format. Provide the owner with two copies of the maintenance manuals. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 90 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted in triplicate (3), which must have original signatures on the forms provided by the University, in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The selected contractor must comply with M/WBE goals. State University of New York goals are: 22% MBE and 8% WBE participation of the total contract value. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
