The City of Texas City is requesting bids for the Security Fence Replacement at City Wastewater Treatment Plant project. The project includes the replacement of the site perimeter fencing at the Citys central wastewater treatment plant facility on Bay Street with new chain link fencing, gates, and associated repairs and improvements. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, Work of the contract includes the replacement of the site perimeter fencing at the City of Texas City's central wastewater treatment plant facility on Bay Street. The length and type of fence along with the gates being replaced are specified below. As a note, the lengths of fence specified below does not include the widths of the gates. It is expected that the bidder will visit the site to inspect the existing fence and to observe the specific installation that will be required to install the perimeter security fence, such as fence on sloping grades, ditch crossings, and other conditions that may require modifications to the fence standard details of construction. The unit price bid for chain link fence includes these considerations and is not paid separately. Each afternoon, prior to leaving the site, any gaps in the perimeter fencing must be closed off to discourage potential intruders. PART A: Fence Replacement Lengths 1.
