The City of West Haven (hereafter referred to as, the City) is soliciting a Request for Proposals from experienced contractors to perform exterior renovations at the West Haven High School pool, located at 1 Mc donough Plaza in West Haven, CT. The work would involve hardscape and facade work including sidewalks, parking and landscaping, patio furniture and window and door replacement. This project is ESSER funded. The request for information deadline is 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024. For all bids over $50,000, the Bidder must furnish with its bid, a bid guarantee in the amount of five percent (5%) of its total bid price. A bid guarantee is either: o A Bid Bond; or o A Certified Check made payable to: Treasurer, City of West Haven. For each contract exceeding one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in amount, Bidder must furnish to the City, on or before signing the award contract, a performance bond in the amount of the bid (100% bond). In accordance with Conn. Gen. Stat. 49-41 (a), for each contract exceeding one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) in amount for the construction, alteration, or repair of any public building or public work of the City, Bidder must furnish to the City on or before signing the award contract, a payment bond in the amount of the bid amount (100% bond). The City reserves the right to reject any or all responses, and to waive any or all formalities in connection with this request. Any proposals received after the above scheduled due date and time shall not be accepted or considered but rejected. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals if it deems such to be in the best interest of the City of West Haven.
