The request for information deadline is 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024. The City of West Haven (here after referred to as the City) is seeking proposals from qualified firms for an ARPA funded, drainage project, located at Contact Drive Park in West Haven, CT. All proposals must be sealed and clearly marked Contact Drive Park Drainage Project. No oral, telephonic, emailed, or faxed responses shall be considered. No oral, telephonic, emailed, or faxed corrections, deletions, or additions to any response shall be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any or all formalities in connection with this request. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, if it deems such to be in the best interest of the City of West Haven. Providing all Site Preparation as shown on the Drawings, and as specified, including, but not necessarily limited to the: 1. Review of existing conditions and drainage data. 2. Provide West Nile Virus protection measures as directed by the Owner and Engineer. All site excavating, not included under other sections, required for grading, trenching, paving, curbs, or any other subsurface structures. All earthwork shall be in accordance with project specifications and drawings. The Contractor shall place, compact, and dispose of excess excavated materials in accordance with the plans, specifications and directions of the Engineer. 1. Unclassified Excavation shall include the removal of existing pavements, curbs, earth, boulders, buried timber, broken concrete pieces, existing foundations (e.g. concrete block), brick and other materials of any nature that may be encountered. 2. The Contractor shall construct and place fill and backfill material in accordance with this specification. 3. The Contractor shall saw cut existing pavements and/or saw cut existing curbs in accordance with the plans, specifications and direction of the Engineer.
