The State of Minnesota is requesting proposal(s) for Mechanical, and Structural Engineering services for project management, design, and construction administration for determination of upgrading the roofs, siding, and HVAC upgrades in various buildings across campus at MCF-Togo, Togo, MN. This project request has bundled several roofing, insulation, siding & furnace replacements into a larger bundled project. Roof, Siding & HVAC Upgrades: Roof Upgrades: Chapel and Property buildings shall all receive roof upgrades. Consultant shall verify if structural upgrades are needed as well as insulation upgrades as part of the design. Existing roofing is primarily asphalt shingles. Siding: Stop Quarters, Education, Kitchen, Barracks 1 and the (2) pump houses shall receive siding upgrades. Consultant shall verify exiting insulation in vertical areas during design and design upgrades to meet current codes. Upgraded siding shall be a steel wainscot product on the bottom and smart side, and the top to match existing Admin building. Existing siding is an older deterred board and Batton style. Furnace upgrades: Barracks 1, Admin, Chapel, Challenge building, Warden conference room, Lakeside, Barracks 3 & gym foyer shall all receive upgraded furnace units. Consultant shall investigate and design systems to ensure code compliance and energy concerns are met. Backgrounds checks are required at the DOC to perform work and will be required by the awarded consultant and subconsultants for investigative work and on-site meetings. Site investigation will be required along with, design bi-weekly virtual meetings, construction meetings to be performed weekly on-site or on a weekly basis. Abatement consultant will be provided by owner. Owner Rights: This request for proposal does not obligate the state to award a contract or complete the project, and the state has the right to cancel the solicitation if it is considered to be in its best interest.
