General Project Description: This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the construction of a pipe underdrain and swale at the Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Park and replacement of triple 42" culverts at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, IL. The proposed drainage improvements at Ironwood Golf Course include, but is not limited to, the following quantities: 1 LS Pipe Culvert Removal; 500 CU YD Earth Excavation; 100 SQ YD Aggregate Base Course, Type B 4"; 20 TON HMA Surface Course, IL-9.5L; 95 SQ YD Stone Rip-Rap, Class A4; 72 LF Pipe Culverts, Class D, Type 1, 42". The proposed drainage improvements at MLK Jr Park include, but is not limited to, the following quantities: 275 CU YD Earth Excavation; 151 LF Storm Sewers, Class B, Type 2, 15"; 325 LF Pipe Underdrains, Type 1, 12"; 1 EA Catch Basin, Type D, 4'-Dia, Type 8 Grate; 1 EA Manholes, Type A, 4'-Dia, Type 8 Grate; and all other work required to complete the project according to the plans and specifications. A location map is shown on the cover of the Plans. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids received. The bid award will be made by the Town Council, and the decision of the Council will be final.
