Renovation of a municipal facility in Normal, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Fairview Exterior Renovation. Question Deadline 05/02/2024 at 4:00 PM CT. Proposal Evaluations Completed May 2024. Scope Of Work This project includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Materials and labor for repair and tuckpointing of entire facility brick exterior facade. Mortar consistency and application must match the 1919 era. This will require a heavier aggregate that must be approved by the Department of Natural Resources, Historical Preservation Department. The County Project Manager will assist in the communication for approval of the mortar with the Historical Preservation Department. If brick replacement is necessary, a match to the existing brick must be used for newly installed brick. 2. Materials and labor for removal of existing soffit and installation of new wood and aluminum soffit. South-East (front) side must be installed in a tongue and groove wood material for historical preservation purposes. All other sides may be installed in aluminum material. Aluminum soffit utilized must mimic wood tongue and groove pattern that matches original construction and the new South-East side. 3. Materials and labor for removal of current fascia material and replaced with new fascia material on entire perimeter of building. New fascia to be installed in PVC coated aluminum material. If required due to current condition, replacement of any existing wood fascia board must be approved by County Project Manager before removal of existing materials. Nails, screws and any other fasteners to be in aluminum material. 4. Materials and labor for removal of current rain gutters and downspouts and installation of new gutters and downspouts. Installation to include all necessary hangers and brackets to mount to the brick facade. New gutters and downspouts to be installed in PVC coated aluminum material. All downspouts to be hinged at ground level for future lawn care accessibility. Caulk seal to be applied between gutters and fascia at finish. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional proposals. The Owner further reserves the right to reject the proposal of any Submitter whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible.
