SCOPE OF PROJECT The City of Kalamazoo Code Administration Division is requesting a plumbing, mechanical inspections, and plan review service to be performed on a contractual basis for a period of one year. The successful bidder must be fully registered and approved by the State of Michigan to perform plumbing and mechanical inspections as well as plan review for permitted work consisting of residential and commercial inspections. The successful bidder meeting the required qualifications will be expected to perform inspections as needed which may include up to 1,200 inspections per year within the City limits as well as providing office time up to 200 hours per year. CONTRACT PERIOD AND EXTENSIONS The contract shall be in effect for a one (1) year period beginning on or about July 1, 2024. The City may opt to extend this contract for up to four (1) one-year periods. All extensions shall be upon mutual agreement of both parties with all provisions of the original contract or any addenda and extensions remaining in full force and effect. The City from time to time may find it necessary to continue this contract on a month-to-month basis only, not to exceed a six (6) month period. Such month-to-month extended periods shall be by mutual agreement of both parties with all provisions of the original contract, or any extensions thereof, remaining in full force and effect. All contracts, extensions and cost increases are subject to availability of funds and the approval of the City Commission.
